Arlington’s fall lineup is packed with live music, art, and seasonal celebrations.
On September 4, First Thursdays Downtown runs from 5–8 PM with The Little Art Bus, live music, and local activities.
Every Saturday in September, the Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs from 9 AM–1 PM at Front and Center Streets.
On September 18, Arlington ISD College Night takes place from 7–9 PM at the UTA Maverick Activities Center.
On September 20, the West Main Arts Festival fills downtown from 12–7 PM with 70+ artists, 25+ bands, and food trucks. Admission is free.
On September 27, Arlington Oktoberfest begins at 4 PM with a bar crawl hosted by Hooligan’s Pub.
Family & School Activities
Youth sports programs including soccer, softball, volleyball, and hockey are open for registration through Arlington Athletics.
Looking ahead, the River Legacy Fall Festival returns on October 11 with nature hikes, crafts, and live animal presentations.
Six Flags Over Texas launches Fright Fest on September 12, featuring haunted mazes and daytime family attractions.
Community & Nonprofits
North Texas Giving Day happens September 18 with early giving already open to benefit 3,500+ nonprofits.
Arlington Urban Ministries continues monthly Mobile Food Markets in partnership with Arlington Charities.
New Businesses & Development
The Urban Union district is expanding with new mixed-use buildings and The Rambler Inn, a 23-room boutique hotel.
Two big openings near the stadiums include Lucchese Arlington and Rodeo Goat at 333 E Division Street.
The Arlington EDC launched free small business cohorts starting with professional services in September, construction and trades in October, and food & beverage in March 2026.
City Updates & Infrastructure
Arlington voters approved a $200.8 million bond program this May, including $137M for streets, $49M for public safety, $9.3M for parks, $3.1M for a new downtown admin building, and $2.4M for libraries.
The Southeast Connector Project, TxDOT’s largest in the district, has six miles of new frontage roads already open and expects another seven miles by year-end.
Downtown’s first off-leash dog park, Doggie Depot, opened this year thanks to a $100,000 grant from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation.

The Texas Sun & Style Market drew crowds in Grapevine August 23–24.
The Riverfront Jazz Festival closed out August 29–31 at Fair Park with artists like Peabo Bryson and PJ Morton.
